DID YOU KNOW?
Rabbits can be very crafty and quick.
To get away from a predator,
a cottontail rabbit will run in a
zigzag pattern and
reach speeds of up to 18 mph.

Rabbits live in meadows, woods, forests, grasslands, deserts and wetlands. They live in family groups, and the best known species, the European Rabbit lives in underground burrows or rabbit holes.
Domestic rabbits need a regulated environment to protect against heat exhaustion or hypothermia.
Wild rabbits don’t have this problem and make their homes in various temperature extremes.

The rabbit’s eyes are set high on the head, and is complimented with a weak but very flexible neck which allows the animal to rotate its head.
These adaptations let the rabbit have a greater field of vision.
