Meet Our Animals

First stop on your new exciting Newcastle Co.Down activities will be our petting barn where you will meet some of our exotic species including Parrots and Marmoset Monkeys. If you are fond of our furry friends, there are also plenty of cuddling opportunities with our guinea pigs, ferrets, and rabbits. In the Reptile Room you will find more exotics including our Tortoise, Bearded Dragon, Corn snakes, our Gecko and Argentine Tegu.

Next stop, you can also feed our farm animals by purchasing a tub of animal feed. Some of our lovely animals that you can feed include donkeys, llamas, alpacas, and many more. They all are very friendly and will come to you.

These animal encounters are more than just fun; they provide a connection with nature and the simple pleasures of rural life. The joy of seeing a child’s face light up as they hold a rabbit or the laughter shared over when they fed the goats adds an extra of happiness to the day, making the visit unforgettable.

Mountpanther Playhouse and Play Village

These activities will be focused to offer those that seek things to do in Northern Ireland with kids. In our Mountpanther playhouse, you can act like royals as we built this playhouse as a new replica of the large Mountpanther manor house. Kids can burn off energy in this fun playhouse as this playhouse has lots of rooms to explore. This dream house also can turn your kids to be more imaginative as kids will no doubt spend hours using their imagination to come up with all sorts of stories when they are exploring each room.

In the meantime, for parents that want to enjoy the time whilst kids play on, there is a picnic area right next to the playhouse. However, keep in mind as this area is close to animal contact areas, all visitors have to always wash hands before sitting down and eating.

Next, we also have Mountpanther Play Village that is perfect for younger kids and toddlers. Kids can become a farmer and choose their own tractor in our miniature play village. There are also child size shops like ice cream shops and post offices which can provide kids a more realistic experience at their age.

Go-Kart Track & Sand-Pit

For those who love a bit of competition or want to practise your steering skills, our outdoor go-kart track provides a fun way to race around the track. We also have a sand pit located right next to the play village, with lots of buckets and spades, you can build your sandcastles while searching for hidden treasure.

Bounce House & Bouncy Pillow

The next stop is our bounce house, which has 3 different inflatables for kids to enjoy. These vibrant and inflatable attractions are perfect for children and even older kids who want to jump and play, but still have a little bit of exercise as well. We also have a mini soft play area for under 3 year olds, so they can explore different shapes, the bouncy pad and mini slide. Meanwhile, the giant bouncy pillow is also popular, offering a unique and exciting experience as everyone bounces together in a carefree atmosphere. It’s a great way to burn off energy, share laughs, and enjoy the thrill of bouncing high into the air.

As mentioned, these fun bouncing activities contribute to better health too. First, it can provide a positive low impact towards your cardiovascular fitness, pelvic floor strength, as well as toning your muscle. As it is also able to build your bone mass better, bouncing is also recommended for adults.

Great visit the fact you could go in amongst the animals is credit to the farm staff and shows the animals are well treated and looked after, wallaby being my all time favourite animal was absolutely amazing… my wife, daughter and her friend had an amazing time, and the fella who looked after on the tractor ride to the deer was a wealth of knowledge, telling us about the old house etc and how Donald trump tried to buy the place… we will difo be back

Grandchildren as ourselves thoroughly enjoyed whole day. Finally got to experience the tour down to the deer and helped feed them. Last year we went during rutting season. The young lad who gave the talk was exceptionally well versed in the life of the deer. I would highly recommend Mount Panther Farm for anyone to visit.

This is our second year in a row to visit Mountpanther Park and it never disappoints. Such a great family day out, all the staff are so friendly and informative about all the animals. I have to say this year I was very impressed with a lovely lady called Becky she was such a friendly person and told us all about the animals and nothing was too much trouble. She took out the guinea pigs after seeing my son had a teddy of 1. Both my sons love getting into see the goats as do I, it is such a fantastic place for family day out. Highly recommend and we can't wait to visit again.

Great space for kids- animals to feed Great price for the activities the kids could do- we spent about 3.5--4 hours here. You can bring your own picnic or there is somewhere I think you can buy food - we didn't so not sure what is available. Staff all very engaging with children and very helpful and polite, didn't wait for my boys to go to them, they came to us to ask them if they wanted to pet animals or talk to them
